What is CFHU’S Playoff Football Madness Power Ranking Tournament all about?
NFL fans are familiar with the term "Power Rankings". It refers to a listing of teams from strongest to weakest, whether based on statistics or perception. This type of NFL playoff tournament format is based on the concept of ranking all the NFL playoff teams: It’s so easy and fast you just rank the 14 playoff teams at one time and you are done!
Playoff Football Madness is a 50/50 Tournament
A 50/50 tournament split means that 50% of the total money collected from the entries for Playoff Football Madness goes back to the Einstein Legacy Student Scholarships at Hebrew U and the other 50% goes towards the prizes for the top 3 winners of the tournament. The prizing structure for this tournament is that the Top winner receives 60%; 2nd place winner receives 25% and third place winner receives 15%.
How much does it cost to enter?
One Playoff entry pick sheet costs $60. You can purchase the Playoff Madness entry up until the start of the first NFL Playoff game scheduled for January 13th, 2024. An electronic tax receipt for the allowable amount will be sent to you in your confirmation email after you register with us with instructions and passwords to get on to our tournament.
How do I make my Picks?

As soon as the regular NFL Football season is over on January 7th, 2024, you have until January 13, 2024 at noon to make your picks for the Playoffs from the 14 NFL teams that will be competing.

You only have to fill out the pick sheet once and rank all 14 NFL teams competing in the NFL Playoffs from strongest (14 points) to weakest (1 point) on the pick sheet provided on our tournament on runyourpool.com.

You will receive the number of points assigned to a team each time that team wins. A winning team is awarded that number of points regardless of which playoff round the win comes in.

Example: A pool member assigns 9 points to the Indianapolis Colts. When the Colts win their Divisional Round game, the member is awarded 9 points. When the Colts go on to win the AFC Championship game, the member is awarded another 9 points.
Winning Our Tournament
We will total up the number of points each person has picked correctly, the person with the highest total at the end of the Super Bowl wins first prize followed by 2nd and 3rd place.
What if there is a Tie?
At the end of the Tournament, if more than one person has the same number of correct picks then the prizes will be split evenly.

DEADLINE FOR REGISTERING WITH CFHU FOR FOOTBALL MADNESS IS 8 PM THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2023.
Please register for our tournament on this site. Online instructions, passwords and an electronic tax receipt for the allowable amount will be emailed to you in order to access our Football Madness Tournament on the runyourpool.com website after your registration and payment has been received. For returning members, the run your pool site is transitioning to using your email at login. You will be alerted after your first login with your old (username/password). You can register for our Madness Tournament anytime but please note that you can only start doing your picks as soon as runyourpool.com posts the spread which should be approximately Monday, September 4, 2023.
The Deadline for registration into the regular tournament is Thursday September 7th, 2023 at 8 pm. The first game of the NFL season starts Thursday, September 7th at 8:30 PM. You can modify your other picks up until the final pick deadline on Sunday, September 10h at 1:00 PM ET.
How much does one entry cost?
The regular season entry cost is $100.00. There is an option to purchase a combo package for $140 (includes 1 entry into our regular Football Madness and 1 entry for Playoff Madness). This option is only available up to 8 pm on Thursday September 7th before the start of the regular 2022 NFL Season.
After that date, you can purchase a Playoff Madness Tournament entry up until the start of the first NFL Playoff game scheduled for Saturday, January 13th, 2024. An electronic tax receipt for the allowable amount will be sent to you in your confirmation email after you register with us with instructions and passwords which will be emailed to you separately at the end of December 2022, to get on to our tournament.
What is our Regular Football Madness Online Tournament About?
Our Annual Football Madness Online Tournament is a Pick’em against the Spread. Every week of the NFL Season you try to correctly pick 8 teams which will cover the spread. For each correct pick during the regular season, you will receive one point.
What is the Spread?
Beside each team's name you will see something like -4.5 or +4.5. The team that has the minus sign is favored by 4.5 points and the team with the plus sign is the underdog by 4.5 points. In this example, for a pick to be correct, the favorite must win by 5 or more points. Keep in mind that if a person picks the underdog, that team does not have to win, but instead cannot lose by more points than the point spread
Example:
You pick the Cleveland Browns at +4.5(underdog), the Browns can either win, or lose the game by up to 4 points and the pick is correct. If they were to lose by 5 or more the pick would be incorrect.
Filling out Your Pick Sheet & Tiebreaker
You should pick the team that you think will "cover the spread". You should also indicate your guess for the total points scored in the Monday night game. The tiebreaker is to be used, if after every game (including the Monday night game) 2 or more people have picked the same amount of games correctly.
The winner of the tie-breaker will be the person whose guess is closest to the total points scored. The Tournament Login is located on the upper right side of the screen on runyourpool.com Logging in will automatically bring you to our tournament.
Make sure to login using your email and password you just set up (don't attempt to join the pool again). Don't forget you can enable the email pick reminder under your picks tab in our tournament to get weekly emails sent to you reminding you to make your picks.
What if I can’t make my picks by the deadline?
If you cannot make your pick by the deadline date for each week, our tournament will automatically make your pick and assign all away teams.
Weekly Prizes
We will be awarding a weekly prize of $50.00 for the duration of the Regular Football Season. The player with the most points during the week wins the weekly prize. All weekly winners will receive their prizes at the end of the Tournament.
Winning Our Tournament

At the end of the Tournament, if more than one person has the same number of correct picks then the prizes will be split evenly. The prizing structure for this tournament will be 1st Prize: $1000, 2nd Prize: $500 and 3rd Prize: $300. Prizes are in CDN Funds.
